MEHIP Portfolio Changes due to Health Net’s Acquisition by United Healthcare

As a contracted insurer for the State of Connecticut employees, certain benefit plans from Health Net of the Northeast were available through MEHIP. With the recent approval of the acquisition of Health Net’s Northeast licensed subsidiaries by United Healthcare (UHC), the MEHIP portfolio will change as UHC obtained rights to renew Health Net's membership in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. New Anthem Plans
The MEHIP portfolio with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of CT was recently updated to provide Non-Profit and Municipal groups with a greater selection of benefit plans. At the same time, we have selected a few of the older plans to be removed since membership has declined in these plans. More. . .

New Oxford Plans
The MEHIP portfolio with Oxford Health Plans was recently updated to offer Non-Profit and Municipal groups additional choice when selecting a health benefit plan. Oxford offers several new CDHP plans that can be administered with a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) including a plan with a "first dollar" drug card. More. . .
